
Kitchen Elegance makes a SMART Move

Rob Roselli, Managing Director of Kitchen Elegance describes how SMART has helped transform his business.
SMART Challenge
As an established kitchen retailer, Kitchen Elegance in 2007 diversified into the bathroom world, opening a separate 4000 sq ft showroom and dedicated warehouse facility in Poole, Dorset. Rob Rosselli explains the challenges of entering the bathroom arena "Historically retailers have worked with a multitude of pricelists and controlling a pricing structure to ensure consistency without a system in place can be difficult. In addition, with thousands of possibilities in bathroom design more so than kitchens means it is more labour intensive to quote and re-quote using manual methods".
SMART Decision
Bathroom Elegance already had a successful template for business with kitchens utilising SMART for over two years and reaping many benefits. Rob explains "it made business sense to look how SMART could be integrated within our processes. Furthermore, with a team of five designers we wanted to ensure we had a system that could easily be accessed across the company and this was particular relevant for clients such as developers".
SMART Results
Adopting SMART from the inception of Bathroom Elegance was a
worthwhile investment for both its short term and long-term goals. Rob
comments "I can only describe it as an invaluable business tool

progress the order in an efficient manner".
The Bathroom Elegance team completed a one day SMART training course
and within the week were up to speed without having to search endless
price lists to find codes and prices. Rob also comments on the
difference it has made to deliveries, "once a delivery is
made, SMART provides a high degree of control and accuracy by offering
the user the opportunity to utilise scanned documents such as signed
delivery notes and attach them within the system." He goes onto say, "as the Managing Director of both companies and I am often
on the road and SMART provides the ultimate flexibility and control,
allowing me to remotely access the system to check profitability and
stock levels etc. In addition, if I am on-site with clients I can
instantly retrieve the relevant orders and re-quote if required, all
this I feel encourages repeat business and create future opportunities".
